Planting in the School Garden

This term has been a busy one for our budding gardeners and farmers! Under the guidance of Ms Tynan our school garden is being transformed and with some welcome manpower from David Kavanagh, Paddy Quinn, Donal O’Leary, Stacey Geraghty and Eilish McGuinness our 5 vegetable patches have been dug out for our classes. potatoes, carrots, turnips, lettuce and strawberry plants have been sown and will be carefully tended by our students. 3rd and 4th class are taking part in a project organised by Agri-Aware and will undertake 5 tasks over the next 3 months. At the end of May we will submit a log book of our work and the class are aiming for a Gold Award. Further information is available on www.incredibledibles.ie
