We have been working lots on combining sets in Junior Infants! Sometimes, it’s easier to use ourselves as the sets!
We have been busy checking-in and going on holidays in our Screen International Airport in Junior Infants. We have been learning all about the different places we can go, jobs in the airport and things that we see there.
We have been having great fun learning all about space. We have watched videos of the moon landing, pretended to be astronauts and have built our own spaceship.
Junior Infants picked some daffodils in our beautiful school garden. We named all the parts of the flower. We decided to make our own using paint, paper and egg boxes. Look how our delightful daffodils turned out!
We have grown tulips in Junior Infants. This morning, we decided to draw them. We thought it was amazing how the flowers looked so different depending on where you sat.
We had a wonderful time dressing up as our favourite story characters. We spoke to our classmates about the books that we were in and what our characters are like in their books.
We have been using the Garden Centre as our theme for our Aistear in our class. We have had great fun being shopkeepers and customers. We were learning all about the different types of equipment that we need for our gardens and how to grow plants.
We have been growing cress and runner beans. This links with our Aistear theme of the Garden Centre. We have had great fun watching them all grow!
In our History lessons, we were sequencing the story of The Three Little Pigs. In Art, we painted the Three Little Pigs houses! We had great fun using them for Aistear play and in our Drama lessons! There was lots of huffing and puffing! We even performed the story for some of the older classes in the school. We got to use our teamwork skills!
Today, we went for an nature walk outside. We looked at all the parts of the tree, named them and tried to figure out what they do! When we went back to school, we carried out an activity based on our walk. We enjoy learning about Living Things.
